Why It Matters
"Nashama" is a Jordanian Arabic term meaning chivalrous/brave — deeply rooted in Bedouin culture. During the 2023 Asian Cup semifinal (2-0 vs South Korea), two-thirds of the stadium were chanting for Al-Nashama. Fans draped in keffiyehs broke into spontaneous dabke dances from the stadium to Amman's city center.
