Privacy Policy

The short version

Fanzaful is a football knowledge site. We collect as little data as possible. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. Most features work without any account or location access.

What we collect

Analytics (Vercel)

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and measure Core Web Vitals (page speed). It does not use cookies or track you across sites. Vercel may collect your IP address to derive an approximate country — the IP itself is not stored. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Error Monitoring (Sentry)

When the site crashes or throws an error, Sentry captures a diagnostic report that may include your IP address, browser type, and the page you were on. This data is used only to fix bugs and is retained by Sentry for 90 days. Sentry's privacy policy is at sentry.io/privacy.

Newsletter (Buttondown)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is sent to Buttondown, our email service provider. Buttondown stores your email address to deliver our emails and tracks whether you open them. We use this only to send World Cup updates — never to sell or share your email with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by messaging us on @fanzaful2026. See Buttondown's privacy policy.

Location (Nearest Stadium)

The “Nearest WC 2026 Stadium” feature calculates distance entirely in your browser. Your coordinates never leave your device.

What we don't do

✗ We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13

Your rights

Under GDPR (EU/UK) and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since we store almost nothing server-side, most data can be cleared by signing out and clearing your browser's localStorage. For anything else, email us and we'll sort it out.
