Rhythm Guide
Eu sou bra-si-LEI-ro, com MUI-to or-GUL-ho, com MUI-to a-MOR
Melody: Original — composed by teacher Nelson Biasoli in 1949
Why It Matters
Originally composed in 1949 for a student competition. A SKOL beer commercial in the late 1990s popularized it nationwide. It became the dominant chant of the 2002 World Cup. Club fans substitute "brasileiro" with their team name, making it the most versatile chant in Brazilian football.
